Spring 2021 - Welcome Back!

DSLCC's Spring 2021 semester is now underway! This semester, like the last one, is going to look a little bit different due to the ongoing pandemic. But don't worry - just like last semester, we're here to assist you every step of the way. We know that the past year or so has been pretty tough on our students, but you're doing an awesome job of rolling with the punches. And you'll do an awesome job this semester too! Don't forget that we're always here to support you.

DSLCC offers a variety of resources for our students, and I've listed several of them below. But first, I want to quickly refresh you on some of DSLCC's COVID-19 policies. Lecture-based classes will be online again for the Spring semester, and most college services will be offered virtually or by appointment only. So, if you're going to be coming to campus for any reason, don't forget:

  • You'll need to fill out a COVID Student Screening Form before you arrive.
  • Wear a face mask or face shield.
  • Keep six feet of social distance at all times.
  • COVID information and resources can also be found here.

OK, so now, here's a list of some awesome campus resources to help you at any step along the way:

  • The Library will offer services by appointment only. In addition, we are currently offering our Laptop Loan Program to all current DSLCC students. Students are able to check out a laptop on a by-semester basis. Please contact us for more information, or to make an appointment.
  • Tutor.com is a free online tutoring service available to enrolled students and is built in to each of your courses in Canvas. This is an excellent resource!
  • Ask a Librarian offers you 24/7 support for all your research and online library service needs.
  • The Writing Center provides students with a friendly and supportive team to help you succeed at college level writing. Tutoring appointments are currently being conducted online via Zoom. Email Sara at sburkholder@dslcc.edu to set up an appointment.
  • The Achievement Center offers free academic support (including tutoring and workshops), as well as advising and financial assistance. Please note that most services are being offered virtually for the 2020-2021 academic year.

We hope you take advantage of these wonderful resources during your time at DSLCC. Your success is everything to us!
